🙏 Closing Announcements
But first… a word of thanks!
When John and I started Studs & Students back last April, we were initially looking for a way to pass quarantine blues and put our years of yard work to good use. Never did we expect our side hustle to take off to where is has today, and we owe it all to you guys!
One of the most rewarding and enjoyable parts of this business has been interacting with all of you. In what may be one of our last summers spent in Wellesley, we have had the opportunity to get even closer to our hometown community, and have had the pleasure to meet some very genuine, positive, and supportive people. From Mrs. Pou handing us a glass of lemonade every time we come by to Mow to Jeff and Susan Novins enticing us with Linden Subs after tackling an ambitious patio project, we are proud to call you all our neighbors.
That being said, as we are gearing up to return to college in the next few weeks, let’s look at some important dates:
For those of you on our lawn mowing list, we will continue to mow through Friday, August 27th
After this week (August 7th) we will no longer be offering regular services, such as mulching, weeding, etc.
For future lawn mowing or any odd jobs you may have, please reach out for some recommendations!
If you have any questions or concerns about our closing process, please reach out to us at studsandstudents@gmail.com or 617-699-8035
🏗 Recent Projects
🌲 Brush Removal
PJ, John, and Henry encountered a particularly intimidating hillside, but successfully cleared away all the existing weeds and shrubbery, exposing a beautiful rock feature and leaving the yard much more tame! See below for a before and after.
📚 Student Spotlights
Here’s what your (Studs &) Students will be up to this school year! (From Left to Right)
PJ Genta (Left)- PJ is entering his Junior year at Boston College and is gearing up to study abroad in Dublin this fall. Fingers crossed that covid will pose minimal issues, but PJ is excited to bike around the Irish countryside and share a pint of Guinness with the locals! PJ is studying finance and information systems at BC’s Carroll School of Management and will be looking out for finance intern roles at home and abroad.
Jared Diamond- Jared will also be a junior this fall at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. Jared has spent the past month at Basic Camp in Kentucky for his ROTC training. Jared will continue his studies towards a degree in Biology and will be commissioned as an officer in the Army when he graduates.
Henry Gould- Henry is entering his junior year at UNH and recently declared his majors as homeland security and political science. Henry is starting his most critical year for ROTC as he will continue to learn necessary skills to be commissioned as an army officer come graduation in 2023!
John Hillmer- In John’s upcoming junior year at Lehigh, he is looking forward to be leading the men’s club lacrosse team! John is studying finance at Lehigh’s business school and will likewise be actively looking for management consulting and finance intern roles for next summer.
